In 2009, HHTI led workshops in Israel and Palestine, including a day-long workshop with Israeli Arab and Jewish students held at a high school in Nazareth with local Emcee Walaa Sbait, and a session at the American Corner in Acco with Arab middle-school students with the assistance of Ariel Vegosen. HHTI also led a performance workshop with Israeli and Palestinian Women poets in Beit Jalla, Palestine, to help them prepare for a performance at an international conference.”

The youth in Nazareth worked collaboratively to create short compositions in Arabic, Hebrew, and English about: the border between Israel and Palestine, individual and collective hopes for the future, relationships between elders and youth, and the role of Hip Hop in the processes of peace and coexistence.

In addition, HHTI led a workshop with third year students at the celebrated Yoram Levinstein Acting Studio in Tel Aviv that has a commitment to community outreach activities in the areas around
the school.
